The book of Revelation, given by Jesus himself, (and therefore the only book of its kind) tells us what to expect in the days leading up to his return, and the dramatic events which will follow his return.
One of the major teachings of the Bible is that Jesus WILL return. His sudden and awe-inspiring descent from heaven will take many by complete surprise because they will not be expecting him to return.
